Elizabeth Klein will graduate from Arizona State University in May 2025. After she graduates, she wants to work as a weather reporter in order to ensure the safety of the people living in her community. Klein was born and raised in Arizona, so she knows the danger of extreme heat and monsoons. She wants to be able to use her experience to help educate people on how to handle Arizona's weather. Although Klein is used to the Phoenix heat, she loves to experience different climates.
Klein had the opportunity to launch weather balloons for the Salt River Project and the National Weather Service during the 2024 monsoon season. This opportunity gave her hands-on experience using weather instruments and the application of data. Klein has been a member of the Weather and Climate Club at ASU since 2021. She became the website manager in 2024. |
